More than a parts swap

Why Certified Furnace Work Matters

A furnace burns gas inside your house and vents combustion gases out of it. A cracked heat exchanger, a poorly sized unit, or improper venting can mean carbon monoxide, not just a higher gas bill. Our Red Seal certified techs handle diagnosis, gasfitting, and refrigeration properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Furnace & Air Conditioning Questions

What Central Alberta homeowners ask us most about keeping a house warm in January and livable in July.

Short cycling, uneven heat between rooms, a burner flame that isn't steady blue, rising gas bills, and new rattling or booming sounds all point to a furnace in trouble. A yellow flame or a carbon monoxide alarm means stop using it and call us right away. We diagnose the actual cause instead of guessing at parts.

Once a year, ideally in early fall before the first real cold snap. Alberta furnaces run hard for six months straight, and an annual clean and inspection catches worn igniters, cracked heat exchangers, and blocked venting before they leave you without heat. It also keeps most manufacturer warranties valid.

A well-maintained furnace usually lasts 15 to 20 years here, though our winters push units harder than most provinces. Once yours passes 15 years and needs a major repair, we'll lay out the repair cost against a replacement so you can decide with real numbers. We don't push replacement on a furnace with life left in it.

In most cases yes. If your home already has ductwork and a reasonably modern furnace, we can add central AC to the existing system. We check your electrical panel, duct sizing, and blower capacity first so the system runs properly rather than fighting itself.

Size, efficiency rating, whether the blower is single-stage or variable-speed, and any venting, gas, or ductwork changes your home needs. We measure and quote in person, then give you an upfront price before ordering anything. If a mid-range unit suits your home better than the top model, we'll say so.
